Dear Members,
As I sat down to write this article as one of my final acts as Membership Recruiting Director for this amazing organization, I thought, my first words must be thank you. Serving Impact 100 SRQ has been so rewarding and life-changing for me, in part because of the relationships forged, hearing our members stories and, of course learning about the many needs in our community and doing something about it. The past and present (and hopefully future) members of our collective giving circle have one very important thing in common-the desire and ability to create a positive, impactful change in our community for those who need our funding so that those who are disadvantaged have a chance at a better life. We do this with compassion, out of community spirit and out of our own selflessness- to feel good about the difference we can make.
We have embarked on the height of recruiting season, and it is my wish that those of our members who have not yet renewed, please do so early, rather than later. For those on our prospect list reading this newsletter, please join us. You will feel an incredible sense of pride knowing that you are part of a group that has already accomplished so much, and still has more work to be done. As a part of Impact 100 SRQ, you have a role in participating in our grant making decisions and operations of the organization. We are different from other collectives.
The more members we have, the more grants we can fund. In 2022 we had 404 members, thus we awarded 4 grants. If 5 of those members did not join, we would have awarded only 3 grants. Every member matters. The last day to join for the 2025 giving year is March 26, 2025. As I close on my tenure as Recruitment Director, my parting words are THANK YOU for being a member, a friend and a philanthropist. Our members are special and I look forward to continue my relationship with you in a different capacity. It was my honor and privilege to serve on the Board of Impact100 SRQ. Want to see what is happening with Impact100 SRQ, or looking for an opportunity to connect with other members? Check the calendar on the Impact100 SRQ website for activity postings. On the calendar, you will see our mission-focused events that range from smaller Coffee Chats to larger Meet & Mingles in different locales in Sarasota and Manatee counties. We email invitations for larger scale events but not for smaller events (so check the calendar!). Some events fill up quickly, have limited capacity and waitlists. Sign up as soon as you know you want to attend. However, if you find that you are unable to attend an event, just email the contact person with your cancellation - No explanation needed!
You won't want to miss our Meet & Mingle Events! These events are mid to large scale events, generally early evening. They are fantastic opportunities to engage with other members and guests, learn more about our mission and hear about Impact100 SRQ news! Whenever possible, we invite a nonprofit recipient to speak about the progress of their initiative. These events fill up quickly, please register early.
Impact in Action Events are immersive, behind-the-scenes experiences designed to showcase the real-world impact of Impact100 SRQ’s Grant Recipients. These events offer members the unique opportunity to witness firsthand how their contributions are making a difference in the community. By visiting nonprofit organizations, meeting program participants, and hearing directly from those who benefit, members gain a deeper understanding of the transformative work being done. Impact in Action Events connect members with the heart of our mission—empowering change and fostering a stronger, more vibrant community.
To see all of Impact100 SRQ's upcoming events, log into the Impact100 SRQ website and click on the Calendar for a drop-down list of events. Click on the event you're interested in to get detailed information, a link to register for the event and contact information should you have questions regarding the event or need to cancel.

REMINDER: if you joined after March 26th of a calendar year, you are a member of the FOLLOWING YEAR. Ex.: joining on or before March 26, 2025 you are a 2025 Member; joining on or after March 26, 2025 you are a 2026 Member. Select Add to Cart, and then select Checkout. During the checkout process you will be prompted to enter your name AS YOU WOULD LIKE IT TO APPEAR ON YOUR NAMETAG. Your name and joining year will match your profile in our member contact system.
