The Journey Continues: Site Visits Inspire and Connect Our 5 Focus Area Committees are truly enjoying the process of reviewing this year’s grant applications. Each proposal we read leaves us more inspired by the transformational initiatives our local nonprofits are envisioning—and even more grateful for the selfless work they do every day in the Sarasota/Manatee communities. Site Visits are now underway, giving our FAC members a unique behind-the-scenes look at these incredible organizations. These visits allow us to dive deeper into each initiative, ask thoughtful questions, and gather valuable insights to bring back to our committees. The process is unfolding beautifully. As our members continue to engage, learn, and reflect, they become more informed and connected to the mission. Their efforts will culminate in an important decision at the end of October, when each FAC will select two deserving finalists.

The Children’s Home Society’s Pathway to Health & Success is transforming lives with stronger student outcomes and deeper family support. Thanks to our grant, 600+ Manatee families now have access to fresh, culturally relevant food through the new Food Pantry—plus a Parent Resource Center and Medical Facility offering classes, clothing, and wraparound services right at school.

2nd Annual Paws for a Cause at Sarasota Polo Club Field October 11th 10:00 am until 2:00 pm
Impact100 SRQ will be participating, and we’d love for our members to stop by and say hi! Now entering its second year, Paws for a Cause is expanding in every way. With the Sarasota Polo Club generously hosting, the event promises fun for kiddos, pups, families, and the community. Admission is free. Nonprofit expo at University Park Country Club. October 27th 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm
A special shout-out to our members who live in University Park! This event is a wonderful chance to help us connect with more of your neighbors. While a Board member will be present, we’d love to have a University Park member join us in representing Impact100. If you’re available to be part of our team at this event, please let us know. Becoming an Impact100 SRQ Ambassador is a wonderful way to deepen your connection while helping others begin theirs. Ambassadors play a special role in making sure new members feel truly welcomed, supported, and inspired as they step into our community of women who give. Do you know what a HUGE impact an extra $100 can make?
Because every dollar of your $1000 membership contribution ultimately funds a grant to our nonprofit recipients, we are always looking for ways to run our organization throughout the year. We are responsible for administrative costs such as Quickbooks, Zoom, insurance, postage and our Submittable Grant Application Software. Do you know it's this software that we use to manage all our nonprofit grant application submissions? It also allows for the efficient grant review process for our members who volunteer to serve on a Focus Area Committee (FAC) and we are charged for each user. The license for this software costs $3500 annually, so every contribution helps!
