Come experience your generous Impact100 SRQ Membership at Work!
Sarasota Orchestra’s initiative, Instruments for Sarasota Orchestra’s Educational Programs, includes purchasing 50 instruments plus instrument repairs and
maintenance for Sarasota Youth Orchestra, which allows more students to experience the benefits of music education and overcome a common barrier to participation in the
orchestra.
You will see the instruments in action during a rehearsal for an upcoming show. Afterwards, we will gather in the Atrium (at the Sarasota Orchestra building) to learn how our grant increases the number of professional caliber pieces the Youth Orchestra will be able to perform, how we positively impact the future of professional music in our community and support the belief that household income should not stand in the way of a child’s desire to play. You will also hear how having access to quality instruments nurtures talented young musicians now and throughout their lives; developing discipline, collaborative and cognitive skills.
Come see and hear how WE influenced students at the Sarasota Orchestra to enhance their access to musical knowledge, increase their performance skills as well as continue to support area performance art and music appreciation well into the future.
