The Children’s Home Society (CHS) initiative, Pathway to Health & Success, expands services proven to improve student behavior, increase academic gains, graduation rates, and enhance parent involvement.
You will see the beautiful new commercial refrigerators, a commercial freezer and eight shelving units our grant provided IN ACTION. Because of us, the new Food Pantry gives 600+ Manatee families access to fresh meat, dairy and produce. You will learn how ensuring consistent access to culturally relevant food, helps CHS prevent food insecurity and build bridges to success for children.
You will also tour the new Parent Resource Center and Medical Facility. You will hear about the additional support families receive including nutrition and cooking classes, clothing and The Very Involved Parent Program right where the children attend school – reducing transportation barriers.
You will also hear stories of how CHS has leveraged our grant to not only provide immediate relief but also foster long-term community stability and empower families, ultimately working toward a healthier and more resilient community.
