Impact In Action Showcase: Centerstone
Come see how Centerstone transformed their Children's Wing to use new evidence-based therapies to support children and families facing mental health challenges. You will see how under-utilized offices have been transformed into a therapeutic sensory room allowing clinical staff to teach parents to interact calmly and respond to their child in a productive way so interventions can be repeated at home.
You will experience how the softly padded flooring, customized lighting effects and colors, weighted blankets, sensory touch toys and sound tools help parents learn how to de-escalate the child in crisis.
Because of space constraints we will split the usual 90-minute session into two-45 minute sessions. You will need to choose which session you wish to attend – spots are very limited - this event will be "Members Only". Please cancel if you are unable to attend so those on the wait-list get the chance. Thank You.
