Crowley Museum & Nature Center’s 2021 initiative: “Equal Access Immersive Outdoor Classroom” is now complete. Even though Crowley was hit hard by Hurricane Ian, the new Boardwalk was built so well… it survived! (The Boardwalk was originally destroyed by Irma)
The area represents old world natural Florida (pre-development) and we should dress accordingly! You will have a short walk, in tough terrain, to get to the Boardwalk so old tennis shoes or boots are recommended.

Hear Dixie Resnick, President & CEO, overview our Impact in Action. She will share the importance of wetlands education and show how nature creates, destroys and recovers. You can stay and view the exhibits and/or you can go on a Hayride out to see the new Boardwalk and some of the surrounding devastation brought on by Ian.
The first hayride will leave at 10:30, the second will leave at 11:15.The area represents old world natural Florida (pre-development) and we should dress accordingly! You will have a short walk, in tough terrain, to get to the Boardwalk so old tennis shoes or boots are recommended.
