PAM KANDZIORA - PRESIDENT ELECT

The Impact100 SRQ Board of Directors unanimously voted to elect Pam Kandziora as the President Elect, who will begin her presidency in November as we kick off of our 5th Anniversary Giving Year 2023.. Pam fully embraces the Impact100 SRQ Giving Model and is committed to leading our organization with passion and purpose. As we continue our collective journey, current President and Founder, Jane Watt shares, "Pam is eager to build on the success that we have already achieved while maintaining our mission of empowering women to collectively fund transformational grants in Sarasota and Manatee Counties for years to come." Please join us in supporting Pam as she leads the fastest growing Impact100 chapter in the world to new heights as we continue to positively impact our community one woman, one grant at a time.

After vacationing here several times over the years, Pam fell in love with Sarasota. When she retired from corporate America, she and her husband Steve decided to put down roots here and prepare for their next great adventure together. "I knew after spending so many years in the uber-competitive corporate world, I wanted to re-focus my energy and time by getting involved with nonprofit causes and activity. Impact100 SRQ was the perfect organization for me to learn more about the needs in my wonderful new community and allowed me to immediately make a positive difference.”

Pam joined Impact100 SRQ as a founding member in 2019 and immediately jumped in with both feet to get involved. "By becoming a member of Impact100 SRQ, not only did I learn about one nonprofit organization, I also learned about multiple organizations and their incredible contributions to Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Additionally, it is so exiting to me that my singular annual membership donation is multiplied exponentially through other member donations of the generous, caring, and intelligent women of Impact100 SRQ. On top of all of that, the ability to donate my time as well as my treasure to our all-volunteer organization is incredibly rewarding.”

As an active member since joining, Pam has volunteered on a Focus Area Committee, participated in the CIRC process, was elected to the Board of Directors as CIRC Co-Director and Co-Treasurer in 2021, and most recently has been serving in the position of Vice President Organizational Services. “I am grateful to be named as President Elect, and I’m excited for my next chapter of service with Impact100 SRQ."

MEET THE FINALISTS

On Wednesday October 19, Impact100 SRQ will announce the 10 nonprofit finalists identified through the extensive grant review process by our 5 Focus Area Committees; Arts & Culture, Education, Environment & Recreation, Family, and Health& Wellness.

This years’ Meet The Finalists event will be a media conference only, rather than an open membership event. The challenge and cost of finding venues to accommodate our

ever-growing chapter prompted the decision to put focus and resources toward our continued nonprofit engagement, as well as the Annual Celebration & Award Ceremony on Sunday, November 6th 2022.

The 10 nonprofit finalists selected by our Focus Area Committees will be confidentially notified just prior to the media conference, gathering for the announcement which will be live-streamed on Facebook for all members and the community.

Click on the link below and select "Going" under the event to get updates and notifications for when we go LIVE to learn about our finalists for 2022!

MEMBER TESTIMONIAL

"When I heard about Impact100 SRQ, I was looking for a way to make a difference by spearheading a micro-funding group. Brilliantly, I found something better - a way to help those in need while connecting with dynamic, generous-hearted philanthropic women. The mission is so powerful, and I feel deeply inspired by the collective giving model, which made it easy for me to share my enthusiasm.

Our chapter is made possible by women committed to lifting each other up and creating positive change in our local community. There is an encouraging, supportive atmosphere, and I look forward to bringing more friends into this great organization and continuing to connect with our outstanding members.

Being an Ambassador has been a terrific way for me to share the beauty of this mission and the meaningful outcomes we are creating together with our New Members."

Smiles!

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT...

Impact100 SRQ members had the opportunity to connect, engage and learn what's new  at September's Member Monday at Grand Cru Wine Bar Downtown Sarasota.

Roberta Scales, Membership Events Director, shared details about upcoming member events, what to expect, and how to register to attend.

President, Jane Gill Watt, asked members to share "Why" they impact - as there are many reasons women join our collective: to support our mission, to learn of the pressing needs facing our community, to connect with other giving women, or to maximize their donation. The list is endless. This question is always a great conversation starter and you may be surprised as to the answer you receive!

"Spotlight Speaker" and Focus Area Director, Kathy Paulsen, shared information about the grant review process, provided a Focus Area Committee (FAC) update, and thanked all member volunteers on Focus Area Committees this year for their participation and hard work. If you are interested in joining an FAC in 2023 or would like more information on the process, stay tuned for our information sessions beginning early next year.
