A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT It is hard to believe that we are halfway through June, particularly when the weather feels more like August! I hope you are having a great beginning to your summer.
Even though summer is a quieter time for membership events, there continues to be exciting work happening in our chapter. The Nonprofit team has completed conducting six in-person training sessions for local organizations wanting to learn more about our grant application process, in addition to Zoom “office hour” sessions where nonprofits can call in and ask general questions. The sessions have been very well-attended and the attendees have been very grateful for our outreach! Our goal is to provide resources that can be used to enable amazing applications for our members’ consideration.
The Grants team is gearing up for Focus Area Committee work! The last day to join a committee is June 21st, please see further information below.
Last week the board held a strategic planning meeting to discuss our goals for the next year and start planning for the 2025 Membership season. As our chapter matures we are intent on reinforcing all it takes to have a healthy, thriving organization. This includes a better understanding of how and why members engage and renew, continued work on outreach to our nonprofit community to extend our legacy of giving, making our processes (grant review, financial, technology, etc.) simpler, repeatable and sustainable, and increasing the pipeline of women who want to engage in leadership roles. The board is committed to making sure we can continue to make a positive, transformational impact to the nonprofit organizations in our entire community.
As always, we want and need your input and your help! We will be sharing more information about our strategic goals and look forward to your participation in making Impact100 SRQ the best that it can be! Sincerely, Pam |
