This summer has already been eventful and event-filled for
Impact100 SRQ. If you were unable to join us so far, you can catch up below on what you missed.
Our events are always “mission focused first” as we empower women to fund transformational grants to nonprofits in Sarasota and Manatee Counties, while continuing to build a strong sense of community among all our renewing and new members.
Member Monday @ Good Liquid Brewing Company in Lakewood Ranch
Members learned about the 5 Things Every Nonprofit Should Know and opportunities to work on our Nonprofit Workgroup. For more information contact Betsy Friedman, VP Nonprofit Engagement.
Member Monday @ Brine Seafood and Raw Bar in Gulf Gate
Our Spotlight Speakers, Kay Stump and Carolyn Barker Collins, shared updates about our Ambassador program. Often our Ambassadors are the first point of contact with our new members and they are vital in introducing the many ways new members can design their own experience. For more information on how you can be an ambassador, contact Rose Dalsandro, Membership Director.
Laura Paolercio, Treasury and CIRC Director, provided the following status of our 2020 and 2021 grant recipients' initiatives:
-
Children’s Cancer Center continues monthly meetings with SRQ families needing a helping hand.
- Mayors' Feed the Hungry uses the truck almost daily to feed our underserved community population.
-
YMCA of Southwest Florida is opening their doors for us to see the building in use with children on September 27th from 4-5:30pm. This is a great opportunity for all of us to our impact in action and grant dollars at work. Register here.
-
Crowley Museum & Nature Center's new boardwalk is well underway and anticipated to be complete by September.
- Girls Inc. is expected to have the bulk of the renovations on the gym finished by September and look forward to sharing the results with the women of Impact.
-
Resilient Retreat is putting the finishing touches on the treatment room and will have a building dedication on the morning of October 18th for all to attend. Register here.
-
HOPE Family Services has ordered the modular building for the new children’s counseling center and expects delivery between Thanksgiving and the end of this calendar year.
Tonya Tremitiere, VP Marketing and Communications, spoke about Community Engagement and ways our members can help Keep Impact Self Sustaining (K.I.S.S.). Since 100% of all our member’s $1000 donation goes to fund the nonprofit grants, we rely on the generosity of our members and local businesses to keep Impact self-supporting.
If you would like to become a 110% member, your additional $100 will go to help us fund operational costs. You can become a 110% member here.
If you or someone you know has a business and would like to learn how to be a supporter of Impact100 SRQ through give-back events or sponsoring a Signature event, please contact Holly Shulman, Director of Community Engagement.
Mix & Mingle @ Cool Today Park Tomohawk Tiki Bar in Venice
Members Ellen Roche, Geri Allard and Barbara Woodrow graciously hosted this event in South Sarasota County, where members and guests learned more about the Impact100 SRQ model, history, and the grants we have awarded over the last 3 years.
