Come out to beautiful Myakka Headwaters Preserve and experience your generous Impact100 SRQ Membership at work!
You will hear how Impact100 SRQ has helped Conservation Foundation conserve, restore, maintain and monitor this beautiful land to save wildlife, protect the quality of our drinking water and secure public access to this land.
You will hear specifically how your Impact100 SRQ Membership has contributed to the health of Florida’s critically needed wildlife corridor through their "Improve Land Saved for the Benefit of People and Nature" initiative. You will learn how the equipment we purchased is used to restore wide areas and all the ongoing benefits of managing this beautiful Florida land.
We will offer guided ~1.5 mile walking tours through the undeveloped property to show you how the equipment we purchased has transformed Conservation Foundation’s ability to restore the land.…so be sure to dress accordingly. Please wear…closed-toed shoes suitable for uneven terrain. Hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, and bug spray are recommended.
Myakka Headwaters Preserve is at 9600 Wauchula Road in Myakka City, FL
We will mark the entrance. Try to arrive as close to 9:00am as possible.
Directions:
- Go East on State Road 70 approximately 19.3 miles past Interstate 75
- Turn left onto Wauchula Rd and continue for approximately 1.6 miles.
